Rock the Ignorant Vote - Part 2

A lawyer volunteering for the Franken campaign admits something we already knew: Only an idiot could seriously believe Al Franken should represent them in the US Congress: Even the observers and lawyers have been instructed by their respective campaigns to not talk to the media. But Minneapolis lawyer Bill Starr, who is volunteering for the Franken campaign, was willing to say a few words. He said he thinks Franken will prevail. His hunch is based on a theory he has. “People who voted for Coleman are more likely to have taken the SAT in their lifetime,” he said. “They’ve filled in circles. Franken voters are probably not college-educated. They’re new voters and immigrants. They’ve been brought in by groups like ACORN, from the inner cities. They’re more likely to make mistakes. I’ve bounced this off of minority people, and they agree with me.” Some things sort of speak for themselves. Via Ed Morrissey, who has some other interesting info on the state of the recount in Minnesota, complete with a photo of a ballot the Franken campaign believes should be disqualified. Cheery Headline On Disenfranchisement Story

    http://www.bluegrassredstate.com/2008/11/cheery-headline-on-...

Cheery Headline On Disenfranchisement Story While we’re all focused on Democrats trying to steal elections, let’s check out this cheery headline from the Lexington Herald-Leader: Recount sought in Hardin vote for state House   Yeah, OK.  That’s one way of putting it.  Another way of putting it is:   Candidate wants Hardin precinct’s votes tossed   This more appropriately describes what is going on in the story.  Nobody cares about a recount.  What’s going on is former Rep. Mike Weaver (D) and the Kentucky House Democrats want to disqualify votes that were cast by Weaver’s former constituents because without one precinct, B121 Pine Valley, Weaver wins the election.  If B121 is counted, the incumbent Rep. Tim Moore (R) wins. At issue is the conduct of the bi-partisan team of poll workers.  They have have inadvertently broken election law while replacing a broken vote-counting machine.  However, the Hardin County Clerk, a Democrat, says that the appropriate procedures were followed.   Regardless, there is nothing in the rule book that states that if poll workers screw up, citizens’ votes don’t get counted.  If that were the case, I can think of several precincts around Louisville where my friends and I would sign up to be poll workers in the next election.  We’ll just screw up, and then their votes won’t count! The Herald-Leader story also fails to acknowledge known details about what could possibly happen after the election results are challenged.  This is what the story says: Under state law, Weaver’s first step in contesting the election is to take the matter to the House, where he served from 1997-2006. Right.  Democrats control the House and a team of legislators will be chosen at random to hear the case.  Speaker Jody Richards (D) will preside.  Chance says that the Democrats will win this part of the fight.  Then Richards will have to offer a resolution to be voted on by the House, and you already know what they want to do: A recanvass showed Moore won by 108 votes. Weaver alleges improprieties in a precinct that Moore won by 250 votes. He is seeking to have those votes thrown out. Don’t let it happen. As Seen on Other Sites

This image has been making it's way around the intertubes, but I really wanted it here where I could love and nurture it.It's one of the ballots Al Franken is questioning. I mean, if only we could figure out the voter's intent! I suppose some mysteries are never meant to be solved. We should just put this ballot in Franken's pile and call it a day. I mean, after all, Franken voters are less educated and thus more likely to fill in those bubbles wrong. GOD KNOWS it takes a college education to fill in circles. h/t:Hot Air

Remember: white liberals can never be 'racist'
